Bipolar Disorder and Depression

What is this study about?

We are conducting an outpatient research study on a FDA-approved medication that may help individuals with Bipolar I disorder and Depression

Who would qualify?

• Individuals who are
• between the ages of 18 and 65
• have a diagnosis of Bipolar I Disorder with depressive symptoms

What if my family does not live near any of the schools listed?

• In some cases we will be able to provide transportation and/or lodging for family members who do not live near any of the testing sites.

What do you have to do?

• Interview - (1 hour)
• A complete diagnostic interview
• Weekly doctor visits - (1 hour for 8 weeks)
• Complete 5 psychological rating scales
• Evaluation of past psychiatric history

Compensation?

• Treatments and doctor visits will be provided to patients at no charge
• We will pay for all study-related medications & study-related lab work
• You may be eligible for compensation for participation
